-- E-Safe Technologies has joined Akorri's lineup of VARs. E-Safe will resell Akorri's BalancePoint software, which provides performance analysis and monitoring for virtual and physical servers and storage infrastructure.

-- GreenBytes’ GB-X series of inline deduplication systems has been certified as Citrix Ready and are compatible with Citrix StorageLink. GreenBytes claims 90% or more reduction in storage capacity requirements via data deduplication and compression.

-- WhipTail has signed an exclusive European distribution and support agreement with Consolidate IT, a distributor that specializes in IP storage, networking and HPC. Consolidate IT will resell WhipTail’s SSD-based Racerunner Tier-0 appliances.

-- STORServer is offering a free trial license of its Archive Backup Client (ABC) backup software for OpenVMS. With ABC, users are able to backup, archive, restore and manage OpenVMS files stored on IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) servers.

-- Clustered storage system maker Scale Computing has announced a Series B round of funding totaling $9 million. Led by Benchmark Capital, with participation from existing investors Blue Chip Venture Company, CID Equity and Spring Mill Venture Partners, the funding will be used to support the long-term development of Scale Computing’s product line, international expansion and company growth, according to the company.

-- Cloud storage startup Nasuni has added Nirvanix its list of cloud storage providers. Nirvanix will provide Nasuni customers with unlimited cloud capacity. Nasuni partners with cloud storage providers to combine online storage for offsite file protection and backup with local caching via the Nasuni Filer.
