-- LSI introduced the LSI Engenio 2600 storage system, an entry-level external storage array based on 6Gb/s SAS technology. The Engenio 2600 system delivers bandwidth up to 4,000MBps on sustained reads from disk, a 4X improvement in throughput performance compared to the previous generation product. The system also delivers over 40,000 IOPS (input/output operations per second) random disk reads, more than a 2X improvement compared to the prior generation.

-- Dell officially began shipping its DX Object Storage Solution. The Dell DX Object Storage Platform uses a self-managing, peer-scaling architecture that enables customers to access, store and distribute billions of files or other digital content, from archiving systems to the cloud.

-- StoredIQ is among the first independent software vendors (ISV) to pass certification testing and join the new Dell DX Object Storage Partner Ecosystem. StoredIQ's Intelligent Information Management Platform integrates with Dell's DX Object Storage Platform to support automated legal hold and document retention.

-- SunGard Availability Services' Storage Replication Service will be available starting June 2010 through the EMC Select program. The Storage Replication Service uses EMC RecoverPoint/SE continuous data protection and remote replication solution to host a customer's replicated EMC Clariion storage system information at a secure SunGard location.

-- Neverfail announced Neverfail for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010, which high availability and disaster recovery for all elements of SharePoint Server including the database and application servers together with search and index servers. Neverfail can be used to protect the entire collaboration, workflow and content management platform against outage.
