Fusion-io is working with Hewlett-Packard to accelerate enterprise server application performance using its I/O storage technology. The two companies are adapting Fusion-io’s ioMemory architecture to HP’s enterprise-class servers, including the HP BladeSystem c-Class system. 

Emulex’s 8Gbps LightPulse Fibre Channel HBAs are now supported in the HP ProLiant rack-, tower-, and blade-based server portfolio running Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, and Linux.

Bosch Security Systems and NetApp have formed a partnership whereby Bosch will sell and support co-branded NetApp storage devices as part of its closed-circuit television (CCTV) portfolio.

QLogic announced certification of its 2500 Series 8Gbps Fibre Channel HBAs with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2. Separately, QLogic has announced volume shipments of the 7200 series of InfiniBand host channel adapters (HCAs). Double Data Rate (DDR) versions are available now, with Quad Data Rate (QDR) version expected by year-end. QLogic will compete primarily with Mellanox in the InfiniBand HCA market.

NEC Corporation of America has signed a reseller deal with Synnex that encompasses all of NEC’s IT products, including the Express5800 and Series3800 family of servers; D-Series storage arrays and software; and ExpressCluster high-availability and disaster-recovery software. Separately, NEC’s HYDRAstor HS8 grid storage platform has been qualified with Symantec’s Enterprise Vault.

NTP Software is now a Gold Level member of the HP Information Management and Storage Partner Program.

Atto Technology’s 4Gbps Celerity FC host adapters have been qualified for use with IBM’s SAN Volume Controller (SVC). Separately, Atto will integrate its ExpressSAS R348 SAS RAID adapter with Harris’ Inscriber G7 broadcast graphics system.

Voltaire has announced compatibility of its 20Gbps Grid Director InfiniBand switches with LSI’s recently introduced Engenio 7900 HPC storage system. Voltaire is also collaborating with DataDirect Networks on InfiniBand-based storage solutions. The companies recently completed cross-certification testing of Voltaire’s Grid Director switches with DataDirect’s S2A9900 StorageScaler systems.

NetScout has extended its nGenious Performance Management systems to support Riverbed’s Steelhead WAN optimization appliances.
