– Dell reported earnings for its second fiscal quarter today with strong results across its server, storage and networking product lines, according to a report posted on InfoStor sister site ServerWatch.
Revenue from Dell's overall storage products rose 13% compared to the same quarter a year ago, while revenue from the company's EqualLogic line of iSCSI products grew a whopping 63%.
Dell (NASDAQ: DELL) racked up total sales of $15.5 billion in the quarter, topping analysts' estimates of $15.2 billion. GAAP income came in 16% higher than a year earlier, at $545 million, or $0.28 per share.
Dell's services revenue increased 57% year-over-year, to $1.9 billion. That includes revenue from Perot Systems, which Dell acquired last year for $3.9 billion.
