-- The QLogic 6142 intelligent Storage Router has been qualified as the "preferred network solution" for Fibre Channel replication with EMC's Clariion AX4 networked storage systems, EMC MirrorView and EMC SAN Copy software. QLogic has also announced the availability of a suite of 8Gbps Fibre Channel networking solutions for IBM BladeCenter that includes the QLogic 20 Port 8Gbps SAN Switch Module, QLogic 8Gbps Intelligent Pass-Thru Module and the QLogic 8Gbps Fibre Channel/1GbE combo card.

-- Hitachi Data Systems' Universal Storage Platform V and VM have been certified with the latest generation IBM System z10 servers. Compatibility and interoperability certification with IBM's zHPF enhancements to the System z architecture and the FICON interface architecture now allows customers to mix Hitachi storage and IBM storage in the mainframe environment.

-- Mimosa Systems unveiled the Mimosa NearPoint Retention and Classification Option (RCO), which automatically classifies and tags archived content. An add-on module to the NearPoint platform, Mimosa RCO helps expedite eDiscovery by enabling automated management of user-generated content based on policy.

-- ATTO Technology's ExpressSAS H30F SAS/SATA II HBAs have received the Novell YES CERTIFIED compatibility designation with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10, Service Pack 1. The ExpressSAS H30F is a 16-port adapter with transfer rates of up to 3Gbps.

-- Cloud services provider Aenigma is using Seanodes' "Shared Internal Storage" software in its iSCSI-based, multi-tiered application hosting platform, which is based on a Software-as-a-Service model.

-- Overland Storage has entered into an exclusive sales and marketing relationship with Keating Technologies, a company that provides branch outsourcing services to the Canadian marketplace. Keating will deliver integrated sales and marketing services to VARs and distributors of Overland's data protection solutions, including the REO SERIES of disk-based VTL appliances, ARCvault tape libraries, Snap Server NAS appliances and ULTAMUS RAID storage.

-- Sonnet Technologies announced the availability of the Fusion DX800RAID, an eight-drive RAID SATA storage system with a built-in SAS expander that enables connection of up to 16 eight-drive enclosures to a single Sonnet RAID controller. The DX800RAID system supports RAID 5 and RAID 6, enabling safe recovery from single- and double-drive failures, respectively.

-- Rebit has closed its Series B round of financing, for a total of $5.7 million  Participating institutional venture capital investors in the Series B round are Access Venture Partners, Grotech Ventures, and Highway 12 Ventures. Rebit's technology plugs into a computer's USB port for continuous backup of data, applications and operating systems.
