-- QLogic's 6200 series Storage Routers are now available from Hewlett-Packard as the HP StorageWorks MPX200 Multifunction Routers. The routers work with all of HP's EVA disk arrays, and support 10Gbps iSCSI and 8Gbps Fibre Channel.

-- Solid-state disk (SSD) drive specialist STEC has added Compellent to its lineup of OEMs using the ZeusIOPS SSDs. The drives can be used with Compellent's Data Progression virtualization software to create tiered storage in the company's SAN arrays.

-- Texas Memory Systems announced that its RamSan-500 SSDs have been certified as interoperable with Microsoft's Windows Server 2008. Texas Memory claims performance of 100,000 IOPS for sustained random reads, 25,000 IOPS for sustained random writes, and 2GBps of read/write bandwidth.

-- LSI has introduced new controller firmware for its 3ware 9650SE SATA RAID controllers that provides support for Intel's SLC NAND flash-based X25-E SSD drives.

-- FalconStor Software has partnered with immixGroup, adding its VTL with data deduplication, Continuous Data Protector, File-interface Deduplication System and Network Storage Server to immixGroup's lineup of products for government agencies.

-- Asigra announced that is Hybrid Cloud Backup and Recovery platform supports BlueArc's new Mercury series of midrange NAS systems.

-- Managed services provider Peak 10 has added CommVault's Simpana software to its backup platform. VeriStor assisted Peak 10 on the upgrade.
