– EMC announced general availability today of products that it previewed months ago, including Unisphere and FAST Cache, according to an article posted on InfoStor partner site Enterprise Storage Forum.

Unisphere is a unified management platform for EMC's Clariion SAN and Celerra NAS systems.

Fully Automated Storage Tiering (FAST) Cache moves data between storage tiers, including SATA drives and solid-state disk (SSD) drives.

In addition, EMC doubled the performance of its Celerra gateways with the introduction of the Celerra VG2 and VG8.

The company also announced that it will support Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) on Clariion and Celerra systems in the fourth quarter.
