By introducing the CD-RW74, Maxell Corp. adds CD-rewritable (CD-RW) capabilities to its optical disc line, allowing users to write, erase, and rewrite data. Previous CD-R technology enabled only a write-once capability. The CD-RW74 holds 650MB and can record more than 1,000 times without failure, according to company officials. The CD-RW74 retails for $25 or less and is available from Maxell`s retailers and distributors.
