October 6, 2010 – Brocade’s dual-port 10GbE converged network adapters (CNAs) and 8Gbps Fibre Channel HBAs are now available from Dell.
The deal encompasses Brocade’s single-port model 815 and dual-port 825 FC-to-PCIe HBAs, and Brocade’s model 1020 CNAs, which support 10GbE, Data Center Bridging (DCB), iSCSI and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) protocols. All of Brocade’s adapters have been qualified for use in Dell servers.
Brocade claims performance of up to one million I/Os per second (IOPS) on the dual-port CNAs.
In addition to Dell, Brocade has CNA reseller deals with EMC, HDS, IBM and NetApp.
