With a new management team in place, LSI Logic is in the process of refocusing its energy on the storage and consumer markets. The company has vertically integrated all of its storage groups, including Engenio, bringing significant resources together to help its OEM customers offer the most comprehensive storage solutions at the lowest cost. Leveraging interoperability investments, working on technology transitions such as SAS interfaces and interconnects and maintaining a business model that strategically aligns with its customers (as opposed to competing with them) creates several opportunities for LSI to expand its offerings and top line. As it celebrates its 25th anniversary, LSI is not resting on its laurels to maintain viability. Rather, the company is imposing changes on itself to continue to differentiate from other technology vendors in the marketplace.
