Stor releases software-based RAID
Simplifying RAID setup and configuration, nStor`s AdaptiveRAID software adapts to RAID levels based on changes in I/O workloads and patterns. The company claims this approach virtually eliminates the write penalties associated with most RAID5 implementations. The initial version works with Windows NT, although the software is portable to other operating systems. Other features include SAF-TE compliance and "drive roaming."
