Microboards CD-R duplicator blazes

Last month, Microboards Technology began shipping the Inferno CD-R duplicator tower with ten 8x CD recorders and one 40x CD-ROM reader. To provide complete control over mastering and duplication processes, the duplicator is equipped with automatic CD format detection, one-button startup, and a standard internal hard drive.

Inferno records at four speeds (1x, 2x, 4x, and 8x), and is expandable with master-slave configurations. With three Versatile Media Interface (VMI) card slots, the unit can expand to support up to 10 additional 8x recorders or two DVD recorders per VMI channel. Up to 400 discs can be created simultaneously. The duplicator is PC- and Macintosh-compatible, and priced starting at $7,795.
