Vixel intros 1U FC switches
Vixel`s 8-port 7100 and 16-port 7200 Fibre Channel switches both come in a 1U (1.72-inch high) form factor. Designed for switched private loop configurations, the devices can be upgraded to full fabric support. Both switches have hot-pluggable media interface connectors, or GBICs, at each port and can be managed with Vixel`s SAN InSite management software. The 7000 is priced at $6,995; the 7200 at $11,995.
