-- Seagate's Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) arm, i365, has completed consolidating its recent acquisitions and today announced a new partner program that offers value added resellers (VARs), consultants, managed service providers (MSPs) and technology service providers incentives and discounts for selling i365 products and services.
i365 completed the integration of its EVault, MetaLINCS, and Seagate Recovery Services technologies in January, leaving its disparate partner programs as its last major task. The new i365 Global Partner Program combines the partner programs of its acquisitions to support a common sales model. Now, all of i365's data protection, retention management and eDiscovery products are available to partners via a streamlined training, support and sales operation.
There are three partner categories within the program, including Authorized, Certified and Specialized partners. Authorized partners are rewards-based resellers that provide referrals to i365 while meeting a minimum revenue obligation. Certified partners are also rewards-based resellers that maintain certified professionals dedicated to i365. Specialized Partners retain business models that incorporate i365's technologies into their service and solution offerings.
The program is designed to broaden the depth and scope of i365 partner relationships, according to Carolyn Crandall, senior vice president of marketing, i365.
"Our business is currently about 50% direct sales and 50% indirect, through our partners. We believe the percentage of our indirect sales will grow through this initiative,"says Crandall.
Specifically, Crandall says, partners that sell i365's SaaS-based services can obtain upfront commission payments for identifying customers.
To support new and existing partners, the i365 Global Partner Portal maintains an online dashboard of technical tools, resources and services designed to simplify the sales process and cross train partners on the i365 product portfolio.
