Snapchat has introduced four new customization options to improve the experience of its users. The new features are Priority Story Replies, Post View Emoji, New Bitmoji Backgrounds, and New App Icons. Currently available for $3.99/month, Snapchat+ was launched at the end of June.

There have already been more than 1 million paid subscribers, and Snapchat+ can be easily obtained from the Profile section. Moreover, Snapchat+ is now only available in 25 countries, including the US, UK, Canada, and India.

The first feature, called “Priority Story Replies,” is to help differentiate a subscriber’s reply and the replies of non-subscribing users. Now, the Snapchat+ User’s replies will be visible to Snap Stars ( Snapchat celebrities or creators). Apart from this, Snapchat+ Users can directly even change the bright yellow design of their Snapchat home screen app icons into something they like.

With the Post View Emoji feature, Snapchat+ users can set a specific emoji for their connections to view after seeing their snaps. In the free version, the friends will view a red, blue, or purple outline, but the Snapchat+ user friends can see an emoji picked by the admin apart from their avatar.

Furthermore, special Bitmoji backgrounds have been added, ranging from gleaming gold to a beach paradise.

Apart from such features, Snapchat+ users also enjoy several other perks. The subscribers will be given a badge that resembles a Star to indicate the user is a Snapchat+ service holder. This feature is generally switched off by default and can be turned on in the options section.

Snapchat+ users can even visit the My Story Management section to keep track of the users rewatching their stories. Although, an individual won’t be able to see the users’ names. Another feature called the “Friend Solar Systems” allows Snapchat+ subscribers to pin one of the contacts as their best friend. Lastly, the Ghost Trail feature allows Snapchat+ users to see their friends’ last 24-hour location history.

Snapchat believes new and interactive features can enhance the overall user experience and offer several customization options. Twitter is another platform that recently introduced a subscription-based model for its users called Twitter Blue.

Like Snapchat+, Twitter Blue also aims to offer many extra features to its subscribers. But, Twitter Blue will cost almost double after October 2022, and Snapchat has a different business model to expand its reach. As per Snapchat, they will launch more exciting features for Snapchat+ users in the upcoming months.
